According to census data, half of Kentucky adults say they or someone in their household have lost employment income since the COVID-19 crisis began. The sources they’re relying on to make ends meet include enhanced unemployment insurance, stimulus payments and more personal debt, At the same time that COIVD 19 cases are rising and further threatening our health and our economy, these sources of financial support are either limited or running out this week. The House has passed several bills but the Senate, led by Kentucky’s Mitch McConnell, has yet to put forth any proposals to support individuals, businesses, or state and local governments.
