In April, Attorney Wes Addington from the Appalachian Citizens Law Center here in Whitesburg, KY traveled to Washington D.C. to give testimony to the U.S. Senate regarding mine safety. The Hearing took place on April 27th, 2010, and was titled, “Putting Safety First: Strengthening Enforcement and Creating a Culture of Compliance at Mines and Other Dangerous Workplaces.” Here is an excerpt from his testimony.
